At last. The game of the season is upon us and the 1st ever all ticket Firs Park match.
Come on Shire, lets give the Grangemouth mob a real Shire dooing.
I have taken the day (and Wednesday) off just to take in the atmosphere in the town. Ok I just happened to have the week off but it does sound good !
For Shire fans, this IS the biggest game this season unless we draw F**kirk in the Scottish Cup. It is also the 1st time F**kirk have played in F*****k for a number of years and their fans ONLY chance to see their team play in their home town. There must be some young F**kirk fans out there who have NEVER seen their team in F*****k !
As this is a cup game singing will allowed for the home fans. Lets make it a "hooped" day, get those old hooped tops on.
Make sure you get your ticket asap. If you are having problems contact Ramz, TDK or myself. We need to get the full 200 Shire tickets bought up buy the real Shire fans.
"Play up Shire"

Do they have any decent players to 'rest'! Come on Shire

`Shire 2 - F*****k 1: What an excellent way to recover from a derby hangover - go and win another one! Well done to the `Shire players, management and fans on a VERY satisfying night where everybody played their part - I`ve had a couple of whisky`s more than usual but I don`t care! Grangemouth`s finest have been sent packing back to their fancy new stadium, unable to cut it in the white hot heat of Firs Park. Iain Diack kept up his good run of form by getting our important 1st goal (looks like we really do have a better player on our hands than a lot of people thought) and Ally Grahams winner - a lob from at least 25 yards into the top corner - was absolutely sensational, I saw it all the way - what a peach! Maybe we did`nt get any league points - which I have said are the big priority this season - but players, fans and management would get a huge morale and confidence boost. I can`t wait to go to my work tomorrow and see some bairns faces tripping them up!

No F**kirk fans in the town pubs after the game sums it up.
Yee Haa !
Superb performance and work effort took the Shire through to a great win. They can make all the excuses they want but F**kirk underestimated the Shire and were tactical arrogant in tonight game and paid the penalty. Do the Shire fans care ? Perhaps not !
Roll on the Shire Cup Final.

Alex Totton, Yogi Hughes, Morrisons, Budweiser, Central Demolition, Russel Latapy, Mr Blobby..... your team took a hell of a beating!
What an absolute pleasure to get out of bed for work this morning at 5am! Well done Dennis and the boys on a fine performance against Grangemouth Dis-United. I said after the Iain Diack goal at Stenny that we would be unlikely to see a better goal all season, but Ally Graham take a bow! There was a lot of disgruntled away fans last night outside the ground after the match and the general comment was " They are supposed to be the worst team in Britain" and " The grass was very long" Well we are NOT and the grass is by far greener at Firs Park! The fightback continues.

That was as good as it gets. People kept stopping us in the streets and asking "What was the score" when we told them 2-1 Shire they just looked blankly at us in complete disbelief. It was a magnificient performance from everyone connected with the club including the groundsman who had the park in immaculate condition. The fans played their part with some fantastic singing. Did anyone notice if there were any f@@@@rk fans at the game I certainly didn`t hear them! The only sour note of the evening was the "Boring Bill " chant which I found quite disturbing.

I`ll wear gloves, a balaclava,a scarf, fishermens socks, thermal underwear and a long woollie coat. My mummy always told me to wrap up warm on long journeys. I may even bring a flask of soup.

Lads I was in Berts bar in William Street,Edinburgh having a quick pint of cider when I started a conversation with the barman. I related the full story about the defeat of Grangemouth Revisited, from FK1 and he couldn`t believe the result. He proceeded to tell everyone who came into the pub the result. Incredibly he told me he was reading a copy of pointless that one of his flatmates had bought. He thought the book was brilliant. It just goes to show how famous The Shire are!

A mate of mine works for a book distributer and he says sales have been pretty reasonable. His company supplies TESCO on-line amongst others so our acclaim is indeed spreading. I understand because of the publicity of Soccer Saturday copies are being sold down south as well!

I don`t think our near neighbours were too pleased to be called `grangemouth utd` and told to `away back to the blast zone!`. A great tonic for our derby disaster last week - go out and win another derby! What a buzz everybody in black and white has - even today - is this what it feels like when you win a few games and follow a half decent team?

A half decent team can be fine tuned to be really decent. We need to cap it by playing well on Sat and scoop 3 points. I was very surprised as to how quiet the F*****k fans were, even after the first goal.
