Many people would have expected us to get a right tanking in this game but that just did`nt happen (3-2). This was a really good game of football to watch and we were just a little unlucky not to cause a bit of an upset. The critical moment in the game was when we were 2-1 down and we had a decent chance to score from a header - it missed and Berwick went right up the park and scored their 3rd - the game trurned at this point. I was pleased with our performance - the players did`nt let anyone down and we were certainly not out of this game untill the final whistle. Keeper Derek Jackson was again in good form and saved our bacon on several occasions and on what I have seen so far our No 5 (Gaughan) and Stevie Dymock are beginning to look like real finds. The problem is we have pretty difficult fixtures in August and its difficult to see exactly where we will pick up points - unless we surprise Arbroath next week we may well be a decent team with no points come the end of the month. If this happens - don`t despair, we have a team that can give anyone a hard game on our day - it just has to be `our day`.

Arbroath are probably thinking the same thoughts! They have not been very inspiring by reading the match reports. They are probably fearing being turned over. 3 points Sat for The Shire is a mere formality surely! How long is Ally Graham on holiday for?
