hopefully not in soap dodging land. if its stirling hows about getting a 24 case of beer & some hot chicken & ribs from deli at Morrisons in Stirling pre game or go to the hungry horse and get a 20 oz steak for a fiver I know its dangerous but as I live in Dunblane happy to host the regulars at either home for beer and food or Dunblane pubs (Tappit Hen or Dunblane Hotel) for something similar!

According to today's Stirling Observer the final will be at Firs Park to quote Reward ES for beating the likes of Dumbarton and F*****k and it will be the last chance as the team is due to move away from Firs Park next season unquote. Great if we are at home and obviously next season we are ground sharing at the Nou Camp! The Stirling Obs is usually pretty accurate for a local rag. Tad did say it would likely be at Firs Park.

Great news. I can bring the girls. We deserve this. This will be my first ever Shire final. We should still get a good crowd the last time we played Stirling in the league there were over 500. How does the Stirling adviser know we`re moving away from Firs Park when I don`t? Do they know where we will be next season? Why doesn`t someone tell the fans?

I don't think they know any more than we do. It makes a storyline for them and I agree it will be great to have the final at our place. I don't see why its such a massive secret to the fans. Why doesn't the Stirlingshire FA let everyone know. I will try and drum up some extra support as well if we are at home. A Question: who gets the game money/how is it shared out?

It would be interesting to see how many would be allowed to watch the game - are we talking another All Ticket match? If its 600 again I can see more turning up than the F*****k match. Reading the paper you would think they have already won the cup! Thats what Grangemouth thought as well until Messers Graham and Diack made our day.

The last Shire Cup Final @ Stirling v the Albion saw some great atmosphere from the large numbers of away Shire fans.
This will be some game at Firs Park. Bring it on.

Hopefully someone from the club will give us the final say tomorrow. Where are you doing pre-match beers?

Result: `Shire 0 Stirling 3. What happened? Well in an interesting 1st half it was anyones game although Stirling were very good at their passing game and had most of the ball `Shire still managed to create several scoring chances but it was a night when absolutely nothing was going in the net for us. These 2 themes kind of summed up the whole game - our ability to create chances and miss them through good goalkeeping, not quite hitting the shot right and sheer bad luck repeated itself all too often and I think everybody began to think `this just is`nt going to be our night`. Once Stirling scored it became harder for us to create those chances (which we kept missing anyway!) when they scored their 2nd we had a mountain to climb. Give Stirling credit, they probably did what F*****k should have done - kept their passing game going and made us chase the ball all night resulting in our opportunities becoming less and less untill they picked us off with the 3rd goal that killed us stone dead. Better team won on the night but I`d like to think we will get our revenge, either in the Stirlingshire cup next year or perhaps the league!
Hats off to Salisbury Saint who made the trip to the final to experience that most common of `Shire fans emotions - dissappointment! Good on you for making the effort sir, I hope you see a better game next time you are in this county.
