Sounds like a good result - very promising against a team that score goals like they're going out of fashion.

Where is it written that Shire have to be this bad every time we go up to Balmoor stadium? I`m gald Peterhead are going up because we won`t have to see us giving up possesion at every available opportunity, dribbling the ball INTO a Peterhead player (who then takes the ball away), letting Peterhead players waltz through our defence AND have a shot.
The manager did send an appology to the supporters who travelled today for the performance - fair enough. I know Peterhead are one of the 2 runaway leaders of this division. But For our opposition to play pretty poorly and for us to do the same instead of taking advantage of their lack of enthusiasm was criminal. I will expect a lot of our players to get their fingers out for the game against the Warriors. Today was an opportunity missed - and we don`t always get a lot of those. Give yourselves a bloody good shake `Shire.

Nope , not at all. Definately less than reasonable today. Only consolation was Peterhead were not at their best either . The wind and rain did not help. In fact it got that bad I sneaked away to sit on my lonesome in the stand. Did you ? Wimp ! Anway, your few words nearly summed up the game. Just need to add that we cannot defend headers and why did Joe Robertson miss the team bus ?

I think the fans are (unfortunately) pretty used to us being utter rubbish at Peterheads place for some time now. The only time we made a game of it was at the midweek league cup game where we narrowly lost 3-2 (gasp, scored away at the Blue Toon!). Even so, I was dissappointed the team continued our dismal run of performances and results yesterday - I`m not even sure why our record is so bad there, its actually a fair bit better away at Gretna over the last 2 years (a whole away point in 2002/03 and several close games, only one gubbing) and they are arguably as good, if not better a team. I suppose its just one of those strange statistical sequences that crop up now and then.
I also think the team had better get right up for the new year Stenny game!

bus trip okay for 4+ hrs trip both ways. didn't like fact that you had to leave ground to get to social club. Game wasn't up to much. poor game by even shire standards. I must say though that I was deeply offended and scared that someone was going to get injured in the fork fight on the bus. I think the supporters club should reprimand those invloved as it could have resulted in a fatality and my batheing in the spilt blood
