Here we go again. Really hoping for a much better performance today, recently the team have been on the slide - mind you I will happily accept a load of old tosh if we come out with a win!

Albion Rovers fans seen to think that a win for then is a certainty.
We'll see.

A brilliant win for the black and white `Zebra`s` today - but nothing shows the Jekyl and Hyde nature of football more than todays game and that shambles that happened last Saturday. Anyone would find it unbelievable that the same team played in both games, talk about the difference between night and day!
A good positive start, not much in it and the penalty we got was pretty clear (the guy reached up and hit the ball - not very smart but footballers sometimes do this!). Surely even the few doubters remaining will conceed that Iain Diack was absolutely immense for us today - first he actually curled the penalty just inside the post and then fired in a curling shot from at least 25 yards into the postage stamp corner of the net leaving the keeper for dead - what a goal! He could have scored another 2 as well but I don`t think we can really complain! Our third was a well worked goal which after a passing move Andy Brand stroked into the net. We then had the luxury of scoring a freakish own goal after a stramash in the box the ball bounced up and looped over everyone into the goal - fortunately this had no effect on the game.
I was pleased to find that this welcome win had rocketed us up 4 places in the table to 6th - nice one! This shows the benefit of not getting detached at the bottom of the table - one win and your right back among the pack.
There are quite a few teams in this division that are not much better than we are - it would be interesting to see how they and their fans react when they find themselves stuck at the bottom of the league (judging by their website Albion Rovers fans are, understandably, not pleased with todays result and being bottom). Because of our crapness in the previous 3 seasons we have shielded the rest of this division from the dreaded wooden spoon position for too long - lets have somebody else experience this honour for a change.

What a great day for the Shire! Mid-table respectability at last! Congratulations to everyone involved although we could have done our goal difference some good because Albion Rovers were woeful.

All hail to the mighty Shire ! See what happens when we play 4 - 4 - 2 with Scott down one wing & Blair down the other !!!. ;D ;D Had to laugh at G`s face when they went off at half / full time . His dreams of cruising to a win at Shire Park shattered & in ruins Pity all the people predicting on the Pie / Bovril site forgot that G was playing for Albion rather than the Shire !!! A classic ! Pity Strumps did not take a Picture of it ! hopefully this could be the start of a non losing league run . Whats all the fuss about Cowden beating the Tonka Toys ? take out 10 minutes of Classic Shire madness and it was a draw They`ll be Black & White ribbons round the Cup......... The Shire Cup is coming Home again

This was a fantastic game for the club, players, manager and supporters alike......
Both of Diack's goals were peaches, and he really worked his socks off trying to get his hatrick, a few times in the second half he was chasing long balls only to find he had no support..... this was the real problem in the second half we sat back and tried to soak up the pressure and we started to look more and more nervous towords the end........ (more of an observation than a complaint)
That said, if we continue like that we'll have a lot of smiling faces on the terraces........ and scowling faces in the boardroom.........
Keep it up lads.......

Congratulations on a brilliant win after one of the worst footballing performances I've ever seen against Elgin.
I love supporting this team. Every point really matters and to see them sitting with mid table respectability brings a tear to my eye. Something that supporters of other teams and non football people just don't understand.
I am a new comer - been coming to watch whenever I can for the last couple of years. I have managed to get to 4 games this year which they have amassed np points at all - yes I've avoided both wins and the draw. So if you want them to start putting together a run, pay for me to stay away. If anyone is wanting to put some money on them, I won't be able to make East Fife or Cowdenbeath so the next defeat will be at home to Berwick
I am an exiled Crystal Palace supporter and East Stirlingshire have revived my interest and enthusiasm for football. It really is what it's all about. Somehow football is what you should be doing at 3pm on a Saturday.
Wishing the club continued success.

Speaking as a permanently exiled shire fan, i didn't expect to see another palace fan take up with the more important football league. Vince Hilaire now there was a striker... and an afro two wins in three days ... reafirms your faith in football doesn't it

gedgy, come and say hello the next time you come to see the Shire.
Nearly all the posters here (those who far away are excused) go to every Shire game home and away so just ask some Shire fan on the terracing who looks "likely" and it will no doubt be one of us.
ps my brother-in-law is a Crystal Palace fan, not hardcore enough for my tastes but he does go to the occasional home game.

Gedgy Don`t you worry your day will come! I was the same watched the Shire getting gubbed game after game and THEN saw them win 3 GAMES IN 9 DAYS a miracle. Diack and Jacko are gods.
