Elgin is still clear of snow.
I will post again tomorrow after I've seen what tonight brings.

Still frost and snow free. Forecast doesn't look too bad but I'll keep you posted.

Don't count too heavily on the Aberdeen party, there is still no frost or snow in the unfrozen North, but you may have to travel through a fair deal of it to get here.

My take on today's game is that whilst both teams were quite evenly matched the Shire just edged it on possession but neitehr team made a single good chance in the game. Quite a boring nil nil draw really. Maybe just as well the camera crew didn't turn up.

Strumps was right, Elgin were frankly awful and a draw flattered them a bit. Bit worried that we seem to have lost the scoring touch but we defended ok (good to see Jackson back ok) and at least we have put a stop to the poor run of results we have been getting recently. We now have the same number of points that we got 2 years ago in the Danny Diver season - our remaining (meaningful) realistic target is to beat that and I think we have it in us to do that anyway. PS credit to wee chris Baldwin for playing on Tue and yesterday when he was obviously not 100% fit - but get some lessons from drama class on diving in the box convincingly!

"our remaining (meaningful) realistic target is to beat that and I think we have it in us to do that anyway." Plus, of course, it would be nice to win against someone other than Elgin or Queens Park.

While I would have taken a point before the game, having seen it and how crap Elgin played I can`t agree that this was in any way a good result. I`ll take the point (grudgingly) but we should have won, opponents don`t play that badly often and when they do we have really got to get the 3 points from them - I think this was 2 points dropped by us. I think last seasons nightmare has lowered expectations so much that people feel they cannot critizise when the team DON`T get beat - I suppose I can understand this to a certain extent but I hope the `bar` for expectations will be raised next season.

Yes, it was not a point won, but two lost... But the Shire lads played well, I look forward to better results:)
