After the dissappointing loss to montrose last week we now appear to have arrived at the `watershed` week of the season - Stenny away on Sat, then home on Tuesaday. Since our only game against the Warriors this season was a shocking 6-0 away defeat early on this is obviously going to be tough. However you can say that a) hopefully we can`t defend that badly again, b) warriors are not quite the flying machine they were early on.
So this week is going to be tough - so what are we going to do - give up because its hard, let them run by us, hide? LIKE HELL, we`ve got to go into this game fighting, scratching blowing snot and giving it laldy because let me tell you we`ll get NO sympathy from them. Focused (but legal) agression is the only way to go in this fixture and we`ve GOT to want it more than they do - get in there `Shire!

you wouldn'y last the walk twinkle. You canny even walk from the Ale hoose to the home game last sat so what chance have you got walking to stenny?
wellibob mentioned to me that he's meeting acquaintences at the red lion in larbert at 12.10pm. and at 2pm in the Plough
I for one are going to go to red lion, commercial, Grubowski's, Torwood lea, Station hotel, Crown, Plough and Gilmours. Would take in the Outside iNN but barred for life.
Lets get into these stenny retard fcukers as I personnaly hate them just as much as the f*****K scum. Come on shire. 6-5 victory (4-1 behind at 1/2time) and finish game with 7 men after fighting etc on the park (and in the sad excuse for a stand)

Hear, hear. Bastards all of them, or wankers as i had to call them at half time. We wuz robbed, wankers. Did you enjoy `the banter` twinkle? Good to see a proper derby game today (unlike the 1 sided non-event early season) and I was happy with our performance but not with the result (how many times am I going to have to say that?). Greg Denham at the back, Chris Mcgroarty on the wing and Ross Donaldson up front had very good games but some of the players always seem to come 2nd best in a physical battle and really need to toughen up with `weight gain 4000` or something. Warriors 3rd goal was criminal and I blame our 2 players who stood looking at McBride bringing the ball down and crossing it - wake up guys and get physical! Our keeper Derek Jackson who was taken off with a leg injury is thankfully ok and should be able to play on Tuesday night.

A brave 3-2 defeat yesterday where we played well and put in a good effort - sadly it was all undone by a late lapse in concentration by defence and midfield - not for the 1st time this season. It was really good to see our boys stand up to some (allegedly) £500 @ week `ex premier league` players - the players got stuck in, the fans were up for it - it should have ended in a 2-2 draw which would have been a fair result on the day. Agree with Gull, our big mistake was to give too much space to McBride to put a good cross in - we made a similar mistake when we lost a late match winning goal against Montrose last week. I`m sure the manager will point this out to the players when in a decent position we must get better at closing the game off - yes we must always give ourselves the chance of scoring a late goal but just have to get tight to the opposition late on and play saftey first - any points we can gather are precious and must not be squandered. Roll on Tuesday night for part 2 of this double header - at least we`ve shown we can compete with them, what we need is a positive result against them.

What's going on here? This is not the first time you pair have agreed on what has gone on in a game. I'm beginning to think there is some colusion going on. Write your own notes rather than boring us with the same regurgitated drivel.

What's going on here? Write your own notes rather than boring us with the same regurgitated drivel. I think two people are allowed to agree on some points if they want, its not actually a crime - yet! If you think this is drivel - fine, but since you were not at the game you are not really in a good position to judge. I have to say that nobody else seems to have written anything about the game so this `drivel` is all you`ve got to go on just now - so appreciate!

I must apologise for the use of the "D" word. I wasn't really reflecting on the content, as you are correct in stating that it is the only Shire side reports on the game, and as I wasn't there I can only thank Gull and Ramz for taking the trouble to post reports. I was really only joking about the similarities between the reports of these two contributors recently.

I was really only joking about the similarities between the reports of these two contributors recently. Yeah, right. Will make sure I disagree with everything that anybody else writes about a game so as to be contraversial - just for you Mr Ian!

Some things never change. Losing goals, and therefore points, in the last minute seems to have plagued Shire throughout my almost 30 years as a supporter. I'm sure on the law of averages or some other statistical study (Strumps?), this must afflict all teams equally, and maybe it's only the "why us?" syndrome, or the feeling you're being kicked while you're down, that makes it feel like it happens to us more than anyone else. But it doesn't make it any less galling when it happens on consecutive Saturday's, robbing us of two points which would have allowed the team to pass the 13 points total of two seasons ago, which is one of the few feasible targets left to us this season. Has anyone painted a government health warning outside Firs Park yet-"Warning-supporting the Shire can seriously damage your health"? Excuse me now while I make my way to some remote outback locality and scream at the top of my lungs!
