So here we go again on the road north.
Looking forward to this one as I've always wanted to see the Shire midweek at Peterhead, pity I don't have Wed. off as I'm the idiot doing the driving.
It's the cup and anything can happen ?! Possibly not but I wouldn't miss it for anything.
Just wish that the Challenge and League Cups were further apart so that our tiny dreams would not be extinguished in the space of 10 days (Scottish League take note).

Just turned 1.15am and just got back from the best shire match in the last 1 1/2 yrs. After saturdays debacle, looking forward to yesterdays (now) game with severe trepidation. Arrived 6.45pm and all looked bleak when told Gilpin iin goal. What a godsend that was. he was superb in goal tonite (sorry last nite). Shire started off like sat, very slow and a ripper from peterhead from 30 yrd sailed into top corner leaving keeper no chsnce. Perhaps he should have been closed odwn earlier but all the playwrs learned from this and NO ROOM was allowed to any forward / midfield player after this. Shire continued to frustrate the Peterhead boys and constantly shot from 20 yrd + in the 1st 1/2. Obviuosly a tactic employed by management. nd half started with shire more offencive and breakethru came after a cross from Ure(on from start) took awkward bounce in box and Ross 1/2 volleyed ball into top corner off net. dancing abound. Shir ethen dominated ( i kid you not) for next 10 mins or so till linesbastard saw something nobody else sw and awarded Peterhead a penalty. Ref then in turned booked shire 3 (culprit) and 8 for what reason we don't know. Scored from penalty. 2 Mins later, scramble in box and they scpred again after aGilpin good save. All looked lost and the slagging of the plentyful primary scool laddies lost in vain till we brought on another sub, Parks, who hit a screamer into bottom LHS corner past the arrogant Mathers to make score 3-2. At that time TDK had just phone to find out final score but got lost in exitemenT. 2 BLOODY AWAY GOALS. shire then had a chance (ALTHOUGH SLIM) to make it 3-3 but failed. Game ende 3-2 to Peterhead but a thourghly enjoyable trip for all 5 away fans. + Derek Ures Maw. match report will be done proper and with good spelling by strumps tomorrrow as I'm slightly inebriated by the 2 bottles of wine and numerous pints I've had but I still know 98% of team dodgy boy even in a blurred state.

I have the notes and I will write them up tomorrow for posting.
It was one of those games that for a couple of moments you really believed we could do it.
I asked for goals at Peterhead and I got them. Lovely Sunny summer night to, no floods in sight.
ps
wellibob and myself now know that Twinkle really doesn't like nomeansno. Tough, I'll play them every time I can.

Good on yous for making the effort lads. Have to say that if I'd realised that the game in Glasgow was going to be a reserve match I would probably have chosen to go up north as well.
Glad to hear that the performance was good and hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

As a stats freak my match report may not be as poetic as some others but I do like to descibe what actually happened and let the reader imagine the game from the facts. So I give you my (hopefully) only web match report of the season.
1st Half 2 min Bavidge misses ½ chance in the six yard box 4 min 1-0 Bavidge makes amends for early miss with a great 25yard shot into the top righthand corner of the Shire net 7 min Baldwin is brought down at the edge of the Peterhead box. Shire fail to convert the free-kick 8 min Baldwin slices a goal-line clearance out for a Peterhead corner. Peterhead fail to make to corner count 9 min Ross sees his shot go over the Peterhead crossbar 12 min Peterhead player (didn’t see which one) heads over from 6 yards 16 min Bavidge dribbles into the box from the right, passes to Gibson who shoots wide from 10 yards 20 min Donaldson has a 25 yard curling shot for Shire which goes 5 yards over the bar 24 min Donaldson has another 25 yard shot which, this time, goes 5 yards wide 26 min Dunbar is the next Shire player to try his luck from just outside the bix. The shot is just wide 27 min Ure now gets into the action, shooting just over from 20 yards 31 min The injured McSkimming is subbed by Youngson 36 min Bavidge dribbles into the Shire box but Gilpin does enough to put him off. Bye-kick 37 min Buchan booked 39 min Michie turns and shoots in the Shire box, just wide 40 min Dunbar has a curling shot from the wide right caught comfortably by Mathers with Shire players running in on goal 44 min Newall booked. Peterhead free-kick 25 yards out – wall does it’s job by slowing ball down 46 min Donaldson crosses ball in from right which is met by Harvey 10 yards out. Tully comes running in from behind and there is a head clash. Both players leave pitch, Harvey with blood running from a head cut 48 min Half-Time 2nd Half Half-time sub – Leishman for Harvey 3 min Peterhead free-kick at edge of box. Buchan shoots 5 yards over the crossbar 6 min Long ball into Peterhead box which is just missed by Ure’s head 7 min Ball breaks to Michie at the post, Gipin saves well from point-blank range 8 min Baldwin’s 20 yard shot is held by Mathers. Peterhead run up the pitch and Tully fires a 25 yard wide (from the right wing) 14 min 1-1 Ure heads Baldwin’s cross back across goal to an unmarked Ross who volleys home from 6 yards 20 min Gibson’s 20 yard shot is held by Gilpin 24 min Johnston replaces Campbell 29 min Peterhead corner to unmarked Perry who heads over from 6 yards 32 min Linesman spots a Millar handball in the box – Peterhead penalty. Millar is booked 33 min 2-1 Michie slots penalty low into righthand corner of net, Gilpin is well beaten (note – 2 second celebration to PA music which stops abruptly for no reason) 34 min Moffat is booked before restart Peterhead shot put out for a corner. Peterhead take two successive unsuccessful corners 35 min 3-1 Michie taps in Peterhead’s 3rd goal at the corner of the goal following a goalmouth scramble 38 min Johnston has an 18 yard shot with is held easily by Gilpin Parks comes on for Ure 39 min 3-2 Parks shot from 30 yards (inside right channel) find the net low in the far corner just inside the post. Mathers is nowhere 40 min Findlay comes on for Moffat Rest of game I got a bit too excited to record the rest (and was also on the phone), Shire did press for a 3rd but Peterhead could have scored a 4th before the final whistle 49 min Full-time
