Littlewoods are organising a half price game again. Lets hope the F**kirk Herald is up to the task this time if we have to have a coupon for this one.

Once again thanks to Littlewoods for making this game half price and bringing in a decent sized crowd.
I thought the game itself was at first a grim struggle in the middle of the park with chances at a premium. Rovers 1st goal was a bit bizzarre - A clearance by Derek Jackson rebounded off a Rovers player and shot straight into the net - just our luck! What happened next just goes to show (not for the 1st time this season) that only when Ross Donaldson is not playing do you really miss him. Our attacks took a while to get up the far end where we frustratingly hardly managed to get more than about 3 decent shots at goal in the whole game - even the normally sharper Chris McGroarty could`nt make something happen here. The Rovers attacks were more frequent and a bit sharper - Derek Jackson had to make a couple of smart saves to keep us in the game. Unfortunately, you could almost sense it coming, a Rovers attack picked us off in the 80th min and it was all over. We are now confirmed bottom of the league for the 3rd season in a row - but I always thought we had too much to do and it was just a matter of time - at least its done now. However we will have to play well to get anything from our last 3 games.

I think Newall`s comment in the Sunday Mail summed the game up " I wouldn`t pay to watch that". Without Donaldson we are toiling up front and knocking high balls through to Ure/McGroarty certainly doesn`t help. We have to get another decent striker preferably over 6ft tall and about 13 stone for next season which will be quite difficult bearing in mind our restrictions. What about Albion though they were pretty pathetic if Jacko hadn`t blundered again they might never have scored.
