I will be driving directly up from my work in Edinburgh so unable to give anyone a lift unless they turn up at my work at 4.30pm. Happy to give anyone a lift home if they are "training" it.
See you at the game !

After a decent start, which we should have been 2-0 ahead instead of 1-0 ,Montrose came more into the game. Then the snow got seriously silly and if had not stopped just before half then the game could have been in doubt of continuing and the travelling fans getting home would have been unlikely.
2nd half saw some very soft goals against and Montrose taking control. Shire did have decent chances including a late disallowed goal but overall with a weakened and not fully fit team then the result was fair.
Looking forward to Saturday at Elgin !

Its well known that The Shire can`t play in the snow or the wind or the rain or on a heavy pitch!!!! Only joking .What was the team? Also where`s Joe vanished to?

Well done to the lads that came up to montrose last night, true supporters who watched their team in terrible conditions and you did not deserve to get beat 4-1.
Hope to see more of you on the 9th of april when we are hoping that the other lounge will be open to away supporters.
This is also to thank the gordon hotel for doing us sandwiches when we come down, much appreciated.

Thanks Aberdeen Mo
Yes we tried to create an atmosphere, I think the third goal really killed us in the second half but after the heavy snowfall in the first I was glad to get home safely, hope you did aswell. I am sure we will bring more than about the 10 we brought last night, in April.

We had a makeshift team out last night and a few of them did`nt look 100% fit (Chris Baldwin for example) but had to play because of injury and unavailability of other players - always a big problem with semi-pro teams like ours where it is difficult for some players to get the time off work to be able to travel to Montrose and beyond in midweek. The game itself was demonstration of the fact that if we lose too many key players (eg wee Joe, Big Carl, Derek Jackson) we will simply struggle to compete. Chris McGroarty was the main man on the night and it was good to see him score (he should really have got 2!) have to say Tony had an off night in goal and possibly could have done better at 2 of the Montrose goals - I think we probably still would have lost mind you.
Cheers AberdeenMo, I will tell the Gordon Lounge of your compliment! I always enjoy my Saturday trips to Montrose, its the bl**dy results I don`t like much!
