The Supporters Club is planning to run a bus to the Peterhead away game on Monday 27th December. Anyone interested in going on this trip should contact me at Saturdays game, by phone or post or private message on this site. I will give out more details after we have some idea of numbers interested in travelling.

On this trip we may become the victims of our own success - 21 members told me they wanted to go on this one at the Rovers game. Now this is good + bad - good because we are getting more people interested in travelling to the teams away games, bad because it gives us a problem. Which is that any bus over 16 seats means I can`t drive it (by law) and the next step up is a 24 seater bus, which you must get with its own driver - at a considerable increase in price (from around £100 total for a 16 seat to £280 total for 24 seat + driver).
The supporters club are willing to go for this but we need to make sure that everybody who says they will go actually goes - people not turning up or calling off late will hurt our ability (and willingness) to put on trips like this in the future by wasting club money which belongs to all members. The Elgin bus on 6th Nov was only just over half full due to late call offs when other people could have travelled had we known earlier. To discourage people doing this kind of thing in future (without GOOD reason) anyone not turning up for the bus and giving no notice will only be invited on other trips that season at the convenience of those orginising travel (eg when there are spaces that cannot be filled by other members). Anyone giving a late call off (after 6pm on a Friday night) will be put at the back of the queue for spaces in the next trip. In either case we may ask you to pay your share of travel money even though you did`nt go - remember, we know where you live!
If we asked everybody to cover the full price of this trip it would work our at about £14-£15 each - the supporters club will offer to do it for £10 each (adult) and £5 (under 16). Those who told me they were interested in going on Saturday should now confirm that they still want to go - contact me by phone, e-mail or on this site by this Sunday (12th December) so that I can book a suitable bus.

Any chance of the bus stopping at Chateauroux if I stick my hand out?

Would the delightful Delia lay on food for the massed bus riders... not as in lounge on a bed of lettuce before someone retorts.

The bus to Peterhead will leave the Gordon Lounge pub (on Thornhill Road, F*****k) at 9.15am - usual rules for those who are late - you get 5 mins grace to appear, if you don`t by this time the bus leaves without you. For this trip we have booked a 33 seater so there is room for some others if you want to bring them - contact me by phone, e-mail or this site and I`ll tell you if there is room - apart from those who have already discussed this with me. The weather forecast for Peterhead is light rain, cold and pretty windy - follow this link to look: www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=1025For those that have not visited Peterhead in winter be warned that the wind can be brutally cold and you should have a decent coat (reasonably waterproof!) - gloves and a hat are also advised.
