This would be a blow indeed.
After EVERY game Roddy claps the Shire fans after the final whistle. The two memories that will always stand out for me of Roddy were:-
1) the 0-6 defeat in Feb03 at Peterhead when Diver couldn't be bothered turning up even though he was manager. Shire got away with the 0-6 scoreline but Roddy's 1st though was to acknowledge the dozen of us that had made the trip (sure this was the one when we paid £55 for a taxi from Aberdeen to see the game - but, of course, he didn't know it at the time)
2) Shire's 3-1 win v Elgin this season and Roddy turns up straight after the game in the Gordon to celebrate for a hour so so with the fans.
In an era when Shire fans have no heros Roddy have always been one of "us". I will personally miss him if he departs but wish him well wherever he chooses to go next (except F**kirk) - he deserves better.

Nearly, but not quite.
Roddy's debut was on 4/8/01 v Elgin City (a) in the league (1-2). To date he has played 83 league games + 5 sub appearances. Also he has played 10 games in the Scottish, League and Challenge Cup.
Roddy has scored the following goals for the Shire :- 1) 1 goal v Queen's Park (a) 25/8/01 - league (3-2) 2) 1 goal v Albion Rovers (a) 18/9/01 - league (4-0)

It'll be a shame to see Roddy go as he's been a solid, consistent player during his time here. Also, along with Derek Ure, the only Shire player who always makes the effort to acknowledge the Shire support. All the best to him wherever he should end up.
