OFFICIAL EAST STIRLINGSHIRE F.C. SUPPORTERS CLUB, RE: shiretrust
An open meeting at Westfield Community Centre in F*****k on the 8th June unanimously gave the go-ahead to start a supporters trust for the `Shire. I would urge members of the supporters club and anyone with `Shire at heart to join the trust (known as `shiretrust`) as soon as you can - it’s aims are in line with and compliment those of the supporters club and if it is successful it will have some influence on people and events that we simply do not have at the moment. The supporters club will continue to put the priorities of our supporters first but, as I’m sure you will agree, it is in our interest to have a `brother` organisation with a larger scope that can reach out to ANYONE with an interest in the `Shire and try and do something about the shocking state of our club.
Everyone joining shiretrust (except under 16`s) must `buy` a share in the trust for £1 in addition to the normal subscription (at first joining only, this is not a regular fee like the subscription)
The regular yearly subscription for members is:
Adult £10
Concession £5 (under 16, OAP, unemployed, student)
TOTAL adult JOINING fee £11, non-under 16 concession £6, under 16 concession £5 (u16`s are not allowed to hold a share in the trust for legal reasons and cannot vote)
HOW TO JOIN: When you receive the application form simply fill it in and either:
a) Hand the application form to one of the acting Office Bearers (Tad, Drummond or John) along with the total joining fee (as outlined above).
b) Send a personal message to the acting secretary on the shiretrust website: http:\\shiretrust.proboards23.com/
and ask how to join.
No one can accurately predict the future, I do not know if shiretrust will work or not but consider this: we the supporters have suffered more than any supporters should have to, but the time for doing nothing and hoping to `sit it out` is over - we have got to try to do something to help our club before it is too late. If the end comes for the `Shire, hopefully we will be able to say that as well as criticize and protest against those in charge (who would obviously be held responsible), we tried to do something positive to help the club we love - if we can say that, no more could be asked of us. I ask you to put your faith in the `Shire supporters (who else would you trust?) that have set up shiretrust and join as soon as you can.
