Because there is no option to put "I don`t know" I put "don`t care". Perhaps our Aussie friends could enlighten us as to the goings on here?

It would take a lifetime to chronicle the goings-on in Australian soccer, even just in the 15 years or so that I've been here. Suffice it to say it's no wonder we're a laughing stock among the other football codes down here, not to mention the general public. And, unfortunately, corporate Australia and the TV channels which makes sponsorship and coverage difficult to attract. To cut a long story short, if we don't succeed this time, I think the game may die a death, or at least any chance of a credible national competition certainly will. The last Grand Final of the NSL was played last April or May; the new comp doesn't start until October (I think). In the meantime, a week long KO comp in May involving 7 of the A-league teams (the NZ team are ineligible) will determine who represents Aus in the Oceania play-offs for the World Club Championships. As if going for so long without a national comp wasn't farcical enough, we could have a team playing 2 games (Perth have a bye to the semis as winners of the last NSL) to qualify for the next stage of what, for the Aus representatives, would be a serious money spinner. Not to mention a chance of a lifetime for the players (many of whom would struggle at Scottish Div 1 level) to rub shoulders with the world's finest. I tell you, it ain't easy being a soccer fan down here

Won't bore you with my take on Shiredownunders brief rundown on local footy leagues... I have been busy furthering my own career Yes... I am about to get my coaching badge!!! Qualifying me to coach..... Girls Under 12 team ;D Teaching my daughter the art of the studs up ankle tap... the goalies knee lift... and the sycthing sliding tackle follwed by the arms out 'what else could i do' shrug. Nah actually I have to get em to tone it down a bit... I'm sure they are more reckless than I was as a kid... and Aussie... no computer... all work .. no life... may he rest in peace... when he gets some And the poll?? got no choice but to follow the Victory... Who will probably end up full of kids and near retiring age poms and scots looking to emigrate .. as long as they don't play at docklands/telstrdome.. too big soulless hole that it is

Nice to see the number of belles-lettres has increased since i've been away.
