HI my Name is AJ,
i am currently doing a Sport Marketing essay based on East Stirling and wanted to get a few views from the true SHIRE fans to help me,
What is the best thing about the Shire?
Where do the Majority of shire fans live?
If from F*****k, why don't you support F*****k(sorry bad word) instead?
What has the littlewoods deal meant to you as a fan?
What would you like to be seen done with the money? (website, youth development etc..)
What is good and bad about the services offered at the matches?
Thanks for your time everyone.
come on eee SHIRE!
AJ

1) Best things - The Shire fans and the away trips.
2) Where live - In the F*****k immediate area. There are few of us who live within 10 mins walking distance but there is a good local feeling for the club.
3) Support F**kirk ! - NO Chance ! Bad question. We are Shire. Imagine Dundee United fans supporting Dundee. Even F**kirk fans who have feeling for the Shire would never be Shire fans. It's just the way it is.
4) Littlewoods - Publicity; willingness to help the Shire fans through free games etc; showing up the Shire board for the numpties they really are; taking a guinine interest in the Shire.
5) Money - Raise the players wages to min. 25 pounds per week - to enable manager to target better players; assist with development of the ground to allow the Shire to stay at Firs Park and meet forthcoming legislation; help the shiretrust; cub shop - Shire fans are crying out for new scarfs etc (it has been 4 years since the club shop was close by the current board).
6) Services - Good: Prog is much improved which is one of the most important statements a club can make (note the non production of progs at Peterhead this season). Bad: Lack of directors to entertain the away board at games; Club shop - what club shop.

1. away games and socialising 2. F*****k area 3. They are scum. Part time big team fans. I personally was born next to shire ground so chosing the Shire infront of the Scum as easy. 4. free games and more publicity (for the good instead of bad) 5. Youth development as our team was best in area for a good few years a few years ago until present board killed it off. Ground improvements as well 6. good - not much as mo as board are running us down bad - as above
Shire are now the only team playing in F*****k at the moment as F*****K are now in grangemouth so lets exploit the situation.

1) Best things - socialising with a unique group of friends, away trips are espescially enjoyable.
2) Where live - usually the F*****k area
3) Living in F*****k area gives you the right to choose F*****k or the `Shire as your local team. When I first came into football (when dinosaurs roamed) I just wanted to be different from `the crowd`so becoming a `Shire fan was an easy choice and I liked the colours.
4) Littlewoods - the pleasure of having somebody behind the team that actually cares whether we do well or not and a good bit of publicity shining on us will make it more difficult for those that want to asset strip the club
5) Money - buying out the current majority shareholder(s) would at least give our club a future
6) Services - (bad) if examined in an unemotional way gate price of £8 does not really represent good value for money (same at all other div 3 clubs), club shop closed for 4 years means nobody can buy `Shire souveniers. (good) unique atmosphere at our games, almost always friendly banter, prog is much improved recently, season ticket is reasonably good value at £120

1) Keeps me in touch with my history...
2) Locally...though I know of many scattered to the winds through fortune and circumstance who still seek news/scores.
3) Shire are quite literally in my (and my families) blood...I first saw the Shire with my Father and Grandpa who played an active part in the club, as did previous generations of the family. The Shire were the only way...
4) Awakened interest, promted the club in a way unheard of for a decade and more...and perhaps made the present board think/uncomfortable...
5) Youth develpoment is a key to the future, a realistic wage/bonus structure for today wouldn't go amiss. A website would be fine if it offered merchandise...a club shop on match days doesn't seem too much to ask for...and it would be nice to see something spent on the ground and the pitch.
6) Have to agree with comment on pricing...and with regards to the board...the fans are the good of the club...

AJ, check out Drummond's thread on the General Board, Bobby Stein's 65 Birthday and the link to the F*****k Herald letter...
I think those two pieces reflect some of the best things about the club.
